ZED Solar is looking for Business Development Manager. Given below is the description of the job:
Bachelor's degree in
Electrical/Mechanical/Power/Equivalent Engineering field with Master’s degree
in Business Administration.
Business development or B2B sales and marketing
certification will be a plus.
5+ years of demonstrated business development (preferably
in the PV sector).
2+ years of management experience (preferably in
the PV sector).
Exceptional professional communication and
presentation skills, both written and oral
Self-directed, organized and self-motivated to
Ability to multi-task and manage effectively in a
deadline-driven, challenging environment
Previous experience in negotiating with
large-scale customers, vendors and EPC contractors.
Working knowledge of National and International
compliance standards/Standard Practices for PV systems.
BDM will be charged with strategic sales and marketing, exploration of
business opportunities, proposal management, and improvement in business
relationships with clients as well as liaising between clients and project
management team. The position holder will make sure that appropriate goals
are set and are met for each sales cycles with the approval and involvement of
top management executives.
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop an overall sales and
marketing strategy based on market knowledge, experience and client feedback.
Deliver profitable revenue growth
through aggressive sales that meets or exceeds business targets.
Establish risk parameters to
explore business opportunities that allow competitive business proposals in
the national and international markets.
Perform due diligence checks on
new customers and opportunities to identify high probability opportunities
and avoid low probability ones.
Continually develop and propose
improvements in sales strategy based on experience and lessons learned from
previous sales cycles.
Develop a system for the
management of sales & marketing team and systems per sales cycle.
Develop and maintain customer
relationships to ensure company image perception as perceived as a world
class supplier of solar EPC services.
Act as a sales-intermediary
between prospective clients and Executive Management in ongoing sales
Explore all avenues of business
and sales to make sure targets are met within each sales cycle.
Lead negotiations on all EPC and
services contracts, which include effectively communicating all technical,
legal, and commercial points to customers and seeking out mutually beneficial
paths forward on any contentious terms that fit within the established risk
Develop creative solutions to
situations that arise in ongoing sales opportunities with minimal guidance
from executive management, ensuring that solutions fit within the established
Maintain a working expertise on policy,
contract management, and incentives in all relevant markets to ensure the pursuit
of business opportunities in the most efficient and effective way.
Develop a close working
relationship with various functional areas and project teams within the company,
including engineering design, production/development, field services and
Address and resolve customer-related
issues in a manner that promotes highest customer satisfaction while
Build, coach, and manage business
development team, providing valuable guidance and support throughout the
Manage and continually improve relationships
with major players in the PV sector, including but not limited to, government
organizations, energy intensive businesses, IPPs, utilities, real-estate developers,
technology developers, renewable energy consultants and investors.
