Role Purpose

Responsible for the overall management and coordination of the operation unit for CR in the region in order to effectively and efficiently utilize and develop the appropriate resources to meet both short and long-term needs of the overall business for the achievement of planned sales and profit objectives.




Accountabilities

Strategic Management

  • Contribute to the business strategies by identifying the research business needs and the necessary action plans for system enhancement and resource development in order to strive operational excellence and competitive advantage

  • Ensure the implementation of all approved strategies and plans within the operating policies and guidelines of the company.

  • Keep abreast of new technologies and techniques and assess its application for improvement on business efficiency

Financial Management

  • Ensure the business achieves operational targets as well as other related business development objectives through effective management of the business management team

  • Develop a realistic budget which is effectively and economically allocated

  • Monitor and control overheads and expenses as per budget allocated annually

  • Ensure proper costing system is in place.

Operational Management

  • Periodic review existing systems and procedures in light of the rapid change in business needs and recommend changes / introduce new methods as necessary, with the end goal of maximizing resources and manpower

  • Plan, schedule and establish workflow in accordance with established standards and schedules

  • Achieve our delivery schedules with ongoing emphasis to improve efficiency, accuracy, timeliness and cost-effectiveness

Client Servicing

  • Develop and implement plans to improve internal and external client satisfaction and ensure continuous business growth

  • Ensure regular updates between operation team and client servicing team to keep up on clients' needs and any business development.

  • Ensure client business needs are met and that services provided exceed client expectations

People Management

  • Utilize the Performance and Development Plan to communicate and assess performance objectives, competency lists and development plans for direct reports

  • Ensure effective performance management system is implemented and aligned with regional directions in order to recognize desired performance for business advantage

  • Establish high standards of performance and hold associates firmly accountable for meeting those standards

  • Develop training plans to ensure that associates are able to grow and demonstrate mastery of required competencies in their jobs and deliver desired performance levels

  • Provide support, recognition and feedback to assist employees to achieve their performance standards

  • Act as coach, guide and mentor too employees

  • Ensure that associates are aware of the nature of their specific roles in relationship to the local market, the sub-region and overall regional operation

  • Establish a strong team environment focused on exceeding internal and external client requirements

  • Conduct consistent periodic coaching “work with-s” to observe team members with clients and provide feedback.

  • Contribute to driving world class employee satisfaction through the implementation of relevant organizational initiatives that build on employee commitment

Organizational Management and Development

  • Ensure alignment of operating systems and processes that will enable the division to achieve its overall business objectives

  • Contribute to the development of corporate policies, procedures and programs and other regional initiatives when consulted/involved by the various regional and sub-regional heads

  • Participate in local and regional / sub-regional task force/committees as well as other projects as part of continuing leadership development

  • Work across functional business units to support organizational initiatives and business needs

  • Promote inter-departmental and inter-divisional communications and teamwork

1. Plays a leadership role in managing medium to medium-large size group of associates.



Business Impact

  • This position is given the degree of independence needed to achieve operating objectives provided that activities are consistent with approved operating plans and objectives, and functional policies and precedents.

  • This position determines how and when the results will be achieved.



Knowledge and Skills

  • Degree Required

  • 10 + years CR Data Collection experience desired

  • Knowledge of market research industry as well as key research techniques and methodologies

  • Managerial skills (at least 5 years in managerial/supervisory positions)

  • Working knowledge of Statistics

  • Project management skills

  • Communication skills
